About the Concert
After being one of the headliners for Electric Picnic sombr, real name Shane Boose, is an American singer-songwriter and producer from New York City who has quickly become one of the biggest new names in alternative pop. Raised on New York’s Lower East Side, he studied classical music and vocal performance at the renowned LaGuardia High School before beginning to write, record and produce music from a makeshift studio in his bedroom.
His music combines alternative pop, indie rock and emotionally charged songwriting, with songs frequently centred around relationships, heartbreak and young romance. His distinctive vocals and dramatic live performances have helped him build a huge international following in a very short space of time.
sombr's breakthrough came with "back to friends", which became a major international hit during 2025. The track reached No. 1 on Spotify's Global Weekly Chart and broke into the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. It was followed by another huge hit, "undressed", cementing him as one of the breakout artists of the year.
