About the Concert
Fontaines D.C. are an internationally acclaimed Irish rock band formed in Dublin, known for their distinctive blend of post-punk, alternative rock and indie influences. The five-piece consists of Grian Chatten, Carlos O'Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan and Tom Coll, who met while studying music in Dublin.
The band broke through with their debut album Dogrel in 2019, earning widespread critical acclaim and a Mercury Prize nomination. They followed this with A Hero's Death in 2020 and Skinty Fia in 2022, the latter reaching number one in both Ireland and the UK.
Their fourth album, Romance, arrived in 2024 and marked another evolution in the band's sound. Featuring tracks including "Starburster" and "Favourite", the album helped take Fontaines D.C. to an even larger international audience.
Fontaines D.C. are now preparing to release their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, on 16 October 2026. The album follows the release of its lead single "Marianne" and continues the band's progression beyond the guitar-driven sound of their earlier records.
Having grown from Dublin's music scene into one of Ireland's biggest international bands, Fontaines D.C. will take another major step when they headline Slane Castle on Saturday, 26 June 2027. The landmark homecoming show will see the band join the long list of legendary artists who have headlined the iconic County Meath venue.
